I remember playing with Ricky at Nina's house in Rosemead, he was always pushing and teasing me to the point that I would cry, get mad and hit him we were like brother and sister when we would get together teasing each other... I'm so sorry to hear about his lost may he rest in peace with his parents and sisters, xoxo Carmen (Carmella) Soto

I remember my cousin Ricky when we were young. They (Ricky , Mandy and Theresa) would spend some summers at the family compound in Fresno. We would walk around barefoot in the hot sun. Sleep outside with mosquito nets. One year Ricky forgot to hide his face and he woke up with mosquito bites all over his face. OMG that was awful , he cried . We would watch horror moves at the local theatre and he was always trying to scare us on the way home. We would play hide and seek at night and someone always ended up crying. Ricky was a lot of fun and a character. My condolences to the family, May he rest in …

Ricky was a character. I remember when him and his sisters picking grapes with us in Fresno/Biola. During a break Teresa would scold them for being slow. Mandy would have none of it, and they would get in a fight. Ricky would sit on the sidelines and wait to see which way the wind was blowing and then side with the winner. We will miss him and our condolences go out to all the Valtierras, the likes of him will never come again, he will be missed. Cousins Phil Savala & Family.
